Website privacy policy
This policy explains how 8Examples Inc. collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains personal information when you visit 8examples.com or contact us.
Effective and last updated: August 16, 2026
1. Who we are
8Examples Inc. is a corporation based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Sean Bennett is our privacy officer. Contact [email protected] or 587-288-6116 with privacy questions or requests.
We handle personal information under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where applicable, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
2. Information we collect
- Information you submit: name, email, business name, messages, quote selections, newsletter signup, account and support communications.
- Transaction and account information: products selected, checkout and subscription identifiers, invoice metadata, domain and mailbox choices, and account events. Stripe processes card details; we do not receive full card numbers.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, device and browser information, referring page, country, requested paths, timestamps, and interactions with the site.
- Analytics and advertising information: Google Analytics and Google Ads may receive cookie or device identifiers and usage/conversion events.
- OpenClaw sales-page replay: the OpenClaw page may record a replay of page structure, clicks, pointer movement, and scrolling. Form inputs are masked so the replay does not record what you type.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve the site and services; answer requests; prepare quotes; create and administer accounts, purchases, domains, email, and support; prevent abuse and secure infrastructure; measure advertising and site performance; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4. Consent and lawful handling
We collect, use, and disclose personal information only for reasonable purposes and only to the extent reasonably necessary. Depending on the context, we rely on express consent, implied consent arising from your request or business relationship, contractual necessity, and permissions or requirements under applicable law. You may withdraw consent where the law allows, although that may prevent us from providing a requested service.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses local storage for your theme preference and may use cookies or similar technologies for account sessions, security, analytics, advertising measurement, and session replay. Browser controls can limit cookies, but account and checkout functions may then fail. Google provides its own controls for analytics and advertising preferences.
6. Service providers and disclosures
We may disclose information to providers that help us operate, including hosting and infrastructure providers, Google, Stripe, Cloudflare, email and domain providers, communications providers, and professional advisers. Providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where it may be subject to local law. We may also disclose information in a business transaction, to investigate misuse, to protect rights or safety, or where legally required.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
7. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including service delivery, security, taxation, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by record. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained longer. OpenClaw-specific deletion is described in the OpenClaw privacy notice.
8. Safeguards and incidents
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will make reports and notifications required by applicable privacy law.
9. Your rights
Subject to legal exceptions, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent, ask questions about our practices and service providers outside Canada, or complain about our handling. We may verify your identity before acting. You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada where applicable.
10. Email
Service messages about an inquiry, transaction, account, security event, or trial are operational messages. Marketing messages will be sent only where permitted. Commercial messages identify us and provide a way to unsubscribe; requests are processed as required by law.
11. Children and changes
The site is not directed to children under 18. We may update this policy as practices or law change. Material changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, brought to your attention.
